Why did you go to graduate school?
If you’re like us, you’ve had your own health challenges and are deeply committed to wanting to help other people find healing through the power of functional nutrition. You know the “why.” Now it’s time for the HOW. And we’ve got you covered.
Signature Supervision is your solution to accruing CNS® hours, finding a job and/or launching your practice, preparing for the board exam, growing your community, and most importantly, finally realizing that you CAN do this.
We’re glad you’re here!
We know that getting your CNS® can be super intimidating. Like many people joining our program, you’re wondering whether you know enough to see clients, struggling to do all the things, and maybe feeling a little isolated in your nutrition journey.
That’s why our program is designed to support you in all the ways you need. We provide clinical supervision so you can accrue your 1,000 hours, test preparation, shadowing opportunities, business support and so much more.
What’s stopping you from getting started today?
Welcome to
Signature Supervision
An all-inclusive CNS® supervision program that includes test preparation, shadowing, business support, and so much more!
How we support you:
Individual and Small Group Supervision
You’ll meet with a CNS® Supervisor weekly to get questions answered and receive individual support and feedback to maximize your growth.
Shadowing
We know it’s important for you to watch experienced nutritionists work so you can develop your own clinical signature. We welcome you to our client sessions regularly, and provide an opportunity to discuss and ask questions afterwards.
Business Advising & Accountability Support
Hatch your inner entrepreneur with live guidance and accountability in a small group setting so that you can increase your client hours. Achieve your credential while building your business and generating income.
Overwhelmed to Outstanding Workshops
Whether you need a refresh on charting, or learn to make nutrition diagnoses, we got you covered with weekly workshops in the first four months.
CNS® Test Preparation
Studying for the CNS® exam by yourself is zero fun. That’s why we do all our test prep live (it is recorded if you can’t make it), so you can ask questions and process in real time.
Practice Incubator
If you want to launch your own private practice, there’s no better place to start than Practice Incubator, an online course to support you. Inside you’ll find all the notes and forms you’ll need, plus videos, checklists, downloads, and more!
Join us for Open House Week!
Wanna get the tea and kick the tires? Join us for Open House week, November 3-10. You’ll get exclusive access to get a sneak peek of Nested Health Coach Certification and Signature Supervision for CNS Candidates.

You know the power of functional nutrition
School did a great job teaching you the “what” and the “why.” But you may struggle with how to put it into practice.
We’ve developed Signature Supervision to support you in finding your own clinical signature. Rather than being carbon copies of us, we want you to find your own path that is unique to you. You’ll get support by engaging with nine different CNS® supervisors - so you can copy/paste/edit/delete from our styles as you craft your own.

It’s Time To Ditch The Overwhelm & Make It Happen!
Our goal is to be your cheerleaders, encouraging, mentoring, and supporting you in those moments that you aren’t sure you can do this. As a team, we’ve accrued over 10,000 hours supervising early career nutrition professionals. We know how to help.

Education Modules
What Nutrition Specialties Interest You?
Each month, we explore an education module jam-packed with videos, worksheets, handouts, and more. Our goal? To get you familiar with many different nutrition specialties, regardless of whether you want to practice within a particular niche, or want to be a generalist.
-
It really doesn’t matter what your specialty is, you’ll always have clients with co-occurring anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. That’s why we start the first module with a deep dive into nutrition for mental health through teaching the FIGS Protocol for Mental Health. Trust us, you’ll need it!
-
You know what people “should” eat, but do you know how to positively impact their behavior around food? Do you know how to help clients cultivate a positive, healing relationship with food? Learn the fundamental skills all nutritionists should know.
-
Regardless of your niche, you will come across clients with eating disorders (recent statistics cite 1 in 10 Americans deal with an eating disorder). So it’s important for all nutritionists to know how to identify an eating disorder, how to refer out (when needed), and how to support clients who have difficult relationships with food.
-
Research suggests anywhere from 75 - 95% of doctor’s visits are caused by stress. One of the simplest ways to increase health is to support your clients to engage a healthy stress response by becoming aware of, and supporting, stress hormone physiology.
-
In this foundational gut module, we discuss all things motility. Your clients have Bristol Stool Chart numbers that aren’t supportive? We got you. Learn the SWIFT Protocol for Gut Healing© to support your clients in achieving optimum gut health.
-
In your career, you’ll see many clients with cardiometabolic conditions. Learning how to help someone with their cardiometabolic conditions is non-negotiable. Creatively, we also give you tools on how to work with a client to use a continuous glucose monitor.
-
Thyroid symptoms are commonly under recognized and dismissed by conventional medicine, thyroid issues can significantly impact wellness. This module focuses on the nutrition supports you can provide to encourage the thyroid to perform optimally.
-
If your interest is women’s health, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll do a deep-dive into supporting pregnancy and lactation through nutrition and herbs.
-
If women’s health is your thing, you’ll love our module exploring reproductive hormones. You’ll learn how to support problem periods and hormone imbalance through hormone lab interpretation
-
You can’t get through all of gastrointestinal nutrition in just one module! That’s why we include the second module, focusing on autoimmune GI conditions, SIBO, and more.
-
Sleeping problems impact our clients massively. Yet there are so many factors that impact a client’s sleep. With so many possible influencing factors, learn how to target the most important.
-
If you’ve ever experienced pain or chronic inflammation, you’ll know how devastating it can be. We’ll teach you to use nutrition, lifestyle interventions and mind-body medicine to support pain relief, lessen inflammation, and get your clients back to living their best lives.
PLUS, you’ll get…
Weekly Case Consultation Group for an additional opportunity to get client cases reviewed and learn from your supervisors and your peers
Access to private Facebook group
Downloadable client forms and notes templates
Opportunity to shadow experienced supervisors during their client sessions
Convenient scheduling for 1:1s and group supervision
Mentoring and support from nine different CNS® Supervisors
Comprehensive CNS® test preparation
Supportive weekly workshops to get you from Overwhelm to Outstanding

Investment
The time it takes to complete your CNS® hours varies. Some people come out of school with a large chunk of hours, others need the full 1,000.
Click on our Resources page to use our calculator to better understand how many months it will take you.
Many people ask why our program has an 8-month minimum. It’s because that is the minimum amount of time it takes most people. As an example, 1000 hours at 30 hours/week will require 8 months to complete. And that’s without any time off for illness, vacation, or slow client weeks.
Most program participants complete their hours within 8-12 months in our program.
If you don’t complete your hours by month 12, don’t worry! Continue to complete your hours with either 1:1 or small group supervision.
When do I start?
The Signature Supervision program launches three times a year, in January, May, and September.
If you’re interested in starting early, we recommend you consider Starter Supervision. This highly flexible, less intensive supervision program provides up to four months of individual supervision with a dedicated supervisor, plus access to some bonus material including Practice Incubator, shadowing, and some workshops.
While you do not need to begin with Starter (you can begin directly with Signature), many people choose Starter initially to get help setting up their private practice, or to continue to see clients for follow-ups that they initially saw as part of a school program.
Not sure which option is right for you? Schedule an info call with one of our CNS® Supervisors to discuss your options.

Still have some questions?
We’ve got you covered.
-
The time it takes to accrue your 1,000 hours varies. Visit the resources page for your school to discover how many months it may take you.
-
We have program participants with many different needs. Some currently are working in another provider’s office, some are intending to launch their own private practice.
It is our goal to support you in whatever path you take. If you’re working in another provider’s office, you’ll get clients there.
If you want to launch your own private practice, we will support and coach you so you can acquire clients that way.
-
A number of things, actually!
First, we offer weekly opportunities to get personalized feedback from CNS Supervisors, so you aren’t left wondering what you should do with your clients.
But we also provide ample opportunities to learn the business of nutrition from us as well. From shadowing to workshops to case consultation groups and more, we provide support for all parts of becoming a CNS.
We believe that the best way for you to learn is to engage with multiple supervisors with different specialties. That’s why we’ve invested so heavily in having a large supervision team (nine currently) that have different types of experience and clinical specialty.
Even with the broad range of supervisor specialties, we share one approach - a trauma-informed, personalized functional medicine approach to nutrition care that supports clients in achieving their optimum health.
-
We start three times a year, in January, May, and September.
Want to start in a different month? Don’t worry! You can enroll in Starter Supervision 12 months/year, then you’ll roll in to Signature Supervision at the next cohort launch.
-
Different people have different needs. At a minimum, you’re expected to attend your weekly group supervision session as well as a minimum of a monthly 1:1 supervision session.
The following activities are highly encouraged but not required: Shadowing, Case Consultation Group, Test Preparation, and Workshops.
-
Yes! We have many people participate in Signature Supervision that have full-time jobs in other fields. If fulfilling your 1,000 hours takes longer than twelve months, rest assured we have other supervision programs you can join to complete your hours.
-
We created Starter Supervision to provide a slower start for people who are still in school or who want to begin building a private practice prior to starting Signature Supervision.
Starter Supervision is available for 1-4 months, depending on your needs, after which you’ll roll into the Signature Supervision program.
-
Upon acceptance, to save your spot in Signature supervision a $375 deposit is required which will become your last month’s payment.
Moving forward, we auto-bill your credit card $375 the first of the month.
