Launch Your Career

Pass the CNS® Exam

From Passion to Practice — Your “Why” Brought You Here, Now Let’s Focus on the HOW

You came to graduate school with a purpose — maybe you’ve faced your own health challenges, maybe someone close to you has. Either way, you’ve seen the power of functional nutrition firsthand, and you’re here because you want to help others heal. That why is your flame — and now, it’s time to turn that fire into something tangible.

That’s where Signature Supervision comes in. We’re not just here to help you check boxes. We’re here to help you become the clinician you’re meant to be — skilled, supported, and self-assured.

Get In, Get Your Hours, & Graduate Ready to Help

Signature Supervision is more than a program. It’s a community, a framework, and a launchpad. Whether you dream of working in a clinical setting, starting your own practice, or joining a multidisciplinary health team, this is your next right step.

“Before starting Signature Supervision, I felt completely overwhelmed by the process of getting my CNS hours. I didn’t even know where to begin. This program broke it down, step-by-step, and gave me the confidence (and structure!) I needed. Now, I actually feel excited to launch my practice.”
— Andrea M., CNS Candidate

How You’ll Get Your Hours

Choose the level of client placement support that fits your needs: go all-in with the Done For You Track and earn 450 hours with our client placements, choose the Confidence Track to earn up to 250 hours with clients we provide, or exclusively use your own clients to accrue hours with the DIY Track.

We Support Your Hours Accrual With Direct Client Placements:

You choose the level of support you need:

  • Done For You Track: We’ll provide the clients needed to accrue up to 450 direct hours.

  • Confidence Track: We’ll provide the clients needed to accrue up to 250 direct hours.

  • DIY Track: You have a bustling private practice, or work in a job that provides all the clients you need.

The Work You’ll Do With Our Clients:

Our standardized clients are designed to give you a structured, hands-on experience that bridges the gap between theory and practice. You’ll meet with each client six times—starting with a full intake session followed by five follow-ups—so you can practice building continuity of care and see how cases evolve over time. Because they are professional actors trained to portray specific conditions or disease states, you’ll gain realistic practice in interviewing, case assessment, and care planning.

Each standardized client also comes with conventional and functional labs for you to interpret, and you’ll coordinate care with their therapist or PCP, giving you valuable interprofessional experience. Plus, we provide clear, step-by-step instructions on how to do everything we ask of you—so even if you didn’t learn it in school, you’ll feel supported. Along the way, you’ll not only grow your clinical skills but also build a library of protocols and client education materials you can use with future clients.

Indirect / Observational Hours

At Clinician’s Incubator, you’ll have access to 250 hours of indirect and observational training to strengthen your clinical skills and build confidence. This includes a robust library of recorded shadowing sessions where you can watch experienced nutritionists working with real clients, giving you an inside look at how seasoned practitioners navigate sessions. We also host live shadowing opportunities a few times each month, so you can observe cases in real time and ask questions afterward. In addition, you’ll work through up to 20 case studies that you can develop into chart notes and protocols, allowing you to practice clinical skills while also building a reusable library of materials to draw from with your future clients.

Non-Profit Client Placements

We also partner with non-profit organizations to create meaningful opportunities for you to gain client-facing experience. Through these partnerships, we can place clients with you so that you can provide meal support and related services, giving you the chance to apply your skills in a real-world, community-based setting.

These hours don’t just enhance your practice—they also count toward the 200 community hours required CNS candidates that want to get a Florida licensure, making them a valuable and efficient way to meet state requirements while supporting underserved populations.

The First ACNPE-Accredited Supervised Practice Experience

CNS candidates care about being in an ACNPE-accredited program because it simplifies the entire certification process. When your supervised practice experience (SPE) is completed through an accredited program like ours, there's no need to individually submit your 1,000 hours to BCNS after graduation.

Instead, we handle the approval in-house and send BCNS a certificate verifying your completion—saving you time, paperwork, and uncertainty.

Plus, graduating from an ACNPE-accredited program adds an extra layer of credibility to your credentials, demonstrating that your training met the highest standards in the field.

  • Signature Supervision has been rigorously evaluated and approved by the Accreditation Council for Nutrition Professional Education (ACNPE) to ensure excellence in clinical nutrition training.

  • As an accredited program, our supervised hours are pre-approved to meet the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists (BCNS) requirements, meaning you don’t have to get your hours approved by BCNS when you graduate.

  • Completing a supervised practice experience from an accredited program adds credibility to your professional profile and signals to the public, healthcare colleagues, and potential employers that you meet rigorous professional standards in clinical nutrition practice.

This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Nutrition Professional Education (ACNPE), a programmatic accrediting agency for master’s degree clinical programs and Supervised Practice Experience programs in nutrition.

Customization = Confidence

One size doesn’t fit all — tailor your experience to your goals.

At Clinician’s Incubator, we know every CNS candidate brings something different to the table — different interests, strengths, and career aspirations. That’s why Signature Supervision is designed with flexibility at its core.

Our program is built on two key layers:

  • Core Programming: These are the essentials required by the BCNS to earn your CNS®. Think of them as your non-negotiables — like 1:1 Supervision, Small Group Clinical Rounds, and Practical Skills Assessments.

  • Skill Development Programming: This is where you get to personalize your experience. Whether you're into a specific nutrition niche, want to work on launching a private practice, need to study for the test, or brush up on your behavior change skills, our bonus skill development programming is here to support you.

“This is way more helpful than grad school!”

Kathryn O.

The fundamentals you need. The flexibility you crave.

At Clinician’s Incubator, we’ve taken the must-haves for CNS® supervision and made them meaningful, personal, and actually helpful. Our core programming is designed to give you the structure you need, with the freedom to tailor your experience to fit your path (we have daytime, evening, and Saturday hours). Here’s what’s included:

1:1 Supervision

You choose from any of our eight expert CNS® supervisors — whenever it works best for you. This means you’re never locked into one perspective and can learn from multiple clinical styles.

Small Group Clinical Rounds

Join up to 5 peers and one of our supervisors to review real cases, ask questions, and sharpen your clinical thinking. It’s like a mini mastermind for CNS candidates.

Practical Skills Assessments

Record yourself working with a client and review it with a supervisor. Sounds intimidating? It’s actually empowering. You get to see what you’re doing well and grow where it counts — with kind, expert guidance.

Sample Month - Signature Supervision

Here’s a sample calendar to give you a feel for the rhythm of our program (note: the days of the week are just placeholders!).

That’s why we include complimentary access to Part 1 of the Nested Health Coach Certification when you enroll in Signature Supervision.

Learn more about Nested

This NBHWC-approved, trauma-informed training was created specifically for nutrition and mental health providers — and you can take it while earning your CNS hours or anytime after certification.

We believe mastering behavior change is what sets truly effective clinicians apart. It’s not just about having the right knowledge — it’s about helping people make meaningful, lasting shifts in their health and lives.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Overcome imposter syndrome

  • Boost client retention

  • Navigate resistance with skill and empathy

Through live and on-demand lessons, you'll build a strong foundation in behavior change, trauma-informed care, and client-centered communication — so you’re ready for real-world practice, from day one.

And when you’re ready to go further, you’ll also receive an exclusive discount on Part 2 of the certification — just $3,300 (regularly $4,600). It’s our way of investing in your growth and helping you build a practice rooted in skill, empathy, and impact.

Better Together: Support, Connection, and Continued Growth

We know that becoming a confident, skilled CNS doesn’t happen in isolation — and it doesn’t stop at graduation. That’s why Signature Supervision includes thoughtful extras designed to make your journey smoother, more connected, and more sustainable. From staying on track with your hours, to building your professional network, to keeping your skills sharp long after your hours are done — we’re with you every step of the way.

Live Tracker Support

Figuring out how to track your Supervised Practice Experience hours can be tricky. We offer comprehensive training upon enrollment, but then also host a regular tracker support session to get your questions answered.

Community Socials

CNSs are a little rare in the wild! That’s why we schedule regular opportunities for current candidates and alumni to chat online in a friendly environment.

Alumni Continuing Education

Just because you’ve finished your hours doesn’t mean the support stops. As a Signature Supervision alum, you’ll get access to ongoing continuing education opportunities designed to keep your skills fresh and your knowledge current.

You know the power of functional nutrition

School did a great job teaching you the “what” and the “why.” But you may struggle with how to put it into practice.

We’ve developed Signature Supervision to support you in finding your own clinical signature. Rather than being carbon copies of us, we want you to find your own path that is unique to you. You’ll get support by engaging with eight different CNS® supervisors - so you can copy/paste/edit/delete from our styles as you craft your own.

We believe that the best way for you to learn is to engage with multiple supervisors with different specialties. That’s why we’ve invested so heavily in having a large supervision team (nine currently) that have different types of experience and clinical specialty.

Even with the broad range of supervisor specialties, we share one approach - a trauma-informed, personalized functional medicine approach to nutrition care that supports clients in achieving their optimum health.
