The Company:

Clinician’s Incubator (www.cliniciansincubator.com) provides nutrition supervision, continuing education, and practice launch guidance for CNS candidates. In our premier supervision program, supervisees receive monthly:

  • 1:1 Individual Supervision

  • Small Group Clinical Supervision

  • Condition-Specific Group Supervision

  • Access to advanced, post-grad education modules (Client Case Studies), which include videos, handouts, worksheets, labs, and resource lists

  • A variety of Skill Development Programming

Our approach to nutrition is through the lens of functional medicine, while underpinned by trauma-informed eating behavior principles.

The Position:

We’re looking for advanced practice nutrition providers that are licensed in at least one state (preferably more) to provide ongoing and active clinical supervision for CNS candidates. CNS Supervisors lead 1:1 Individual Supervision and Small Group Clinical Supervision sessions, review client chart notes and maintain supervisor notes on candidate progress and verifies the attainment of competencies and documentation of practice experience. Supervisors will participate in initial and ongoing training and performance evaluation.

Requirements:

Supervisors must have the education and experience to provide the appropriate supervision of candidates in the PN care model. This includes meeting the following criteria:

  • Hold one of the following degrees and/or certifications:

    • Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) in good standing;

    • Master of Science or Doctoral Degree in a field of nutrition from a regionally accredited institution, or

    • Doctoral-level healthcare professional degree from a regionally accredited institution and credential, such as MD, DO, ND, DC, with the nutrition academic coursework required for eligibility to the CNS certification.

  • Demonstrate sufficient experience in applying the Personalized Nutrition care model and SPE competencies in clinical practice. In most cases, this equates to three full-time years of nutrition practice experience after the qualifying degree/credential is obtained with at least 2000+ client facing hours.

  • Meet all applicable laws to practice nutrition and be in good standing with their professional credential as well as their state license or certification.

  • Hold appropriate professional liability insurance. CNS supervisors assume responsibility for the work and education of the candidate. This will necessitate that the Supervisor fulfills the requirements to act as the documented Practitioner of Record.

  • Have 20-40 hours monthly availability with

    • Weekly evening availability between 6-8 p.m. PST, and

    • Once monthly weekend PST morning availability of 3-4 hours.

  • Preferably have experience working with clients within at least one of the following areas: pediatric nutrition, sports nutrition, oncology nutrition.

  • Know how to interpret conventional and functional labs. At a minimum: CBC, CMP, lipid panels and vitamin markers. Supervisors will also need to be able to interpret at least one of the following types of functional tests: organic acid tests, comprehensive stool panels, cortisol tests, hormone tests.  

The Location:

The entire business operates virtually - so you’ll be working out of the comfort of your home, or your office, or at a convenient, HIPAA-compliant place that works for you. Video technology is required for 1:1 Individual Supervision and Small Group Clinical Supervision sessions. Currently, this position will require between 20-40 hours/month with possible room for growth.
